5th Annual Surf Art Expo

I'm doing the Surf Art Expo again this year! I have been a part of this show from the beginning and it just keeps getting better and better! The Surf Art Expo is held in conjunction with the Steel Pier Classic Surf Contest at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. It's this Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28, 2012. The Surf Art Expo is held on the boardwalk from 1st to 5th Street. The hours are 10-6 on Saturday and Sunday and 10-5 on Memorial Day Monday. This is a great show with lots of excellent local and regional artists. And the atmosphere of the boardwalk and the beach can't be beat! For even more information, check out www.vbsurfartexpo.com. Thank you to everyone who made it out to the Gosport Arts Festival this Mother's Day weekend! There was a great crowd out there enjoying all the beautiful artwork under the gorgeous weather that we had both days. A very special THANK YOU to those who took a piece home with them! I sold quite a variety of pieces this weekend, from big to small. I appreciate all the kind comments that everyone gave me as well. Your smiles, your words and your encouragement keep me going to create better and better pieces for you! So now it's time to head back to the studio again and prepare for the next one that will be coming up soon!

I'm proud to announce that I am one of four finalists for the 50th Anniversary of the East Coast Surfing Championships poster! The voting process runs from May 12, 2012 to June 1, 2012. The ECSC is sponsored by Coastal Edge. This year's ECSC will no doubt be a big event as it's the 50th anniversary of a storied contest. The ECSC is actually the second oldest continually running surf contest in the world.
